Began working in AI at Nuance Communications in 1999, building a spoken natural language conversational travel agent that combined plane, rental car, and hotel reservations. In 2013 joined another SRI startup, Tempo AI, which used machine learning to create dossiers of people on the user's calendar. Tempo was acquired by Salesforce. Joined a blockchain startup in 2017 and focused on cryptography and smart contracts. Subsequently joined Identiv to work on identity verification services for the U.S. armed forces. In 2023 began exploring edge inferencing and computer vision, before narrowing the focus to the agentic web. Currently working on Matchwise which provides business and social networking on the agentic web, along with universal authentication which uses DIDs and DID documents to provide user, business, and government scoped identity for AI agents that transact with A2A and MCP.

Tricia Wang is a globally recognized technology and strategy expert at the intersection of AI, data, and human insight.

She is the co-founder and CEO of the Advanced AI Society, an industry association advancing enterprise-grade adoption of Proof-of-Control AI solutions that ensure verifiable trust between agents, humans, and infrastructure. With more than two decades advising Fortune 500 leaders—including Google, Spotify, and P&G—she has helped transform data from a cost center into a growth engine by aligning governance, customer insight, and digital strategy.

Long before today’s AI boom, Tricia foresaw both the promise and the dangers of machine intelligence. As a global tech ethnographer at Nokia, she witnessed how over-reliance on dashboards blinded leadership to shifting consumer behavior, leading her to coin the term “quantification bias.” Her influential TED talk argued that successful enterprises require not just big data infrastructure but “thick data”—the deep contextual insights that ground decisions in human reality.

She founded Sudden Compass to address the same governance gap she observed at Nokia: organizations investing heavily in infrastructure without building the leadership systems to act on insights. At Sudden Compass, she worked with senior executives to embed thick data into decision-making and design change-management frameworks that made transformation sustainable. Today, as enterprises navigate generative AI, she continues to emphasize that adoption is not only a technical challenge but a governance one.
Tricia’s cross-sector career spans launching innovation labs in China, opening up a digital product lab in Peru, and co-founding CRADL (Crypto Research and Design Lab) with the World Economic Forum to advance decentralized technologies that return agency and ownership to individuals—later acquired by the Crypto Council for Innovation.

She holds a Ph.D. in Sociology and contributes to expert communities through affiliations with Harvard University’s Berkman Center for Internet & Society, US Japan Leadership Program, Data & Society. She also serves on the board of New Mexico Community Capital and advises Dangerous Ventures and startups on AI strategy and data governance.

Her work has been featured in The New Yorker, Fortune, Wired, Quartz, and The Guardian. She is a Global Expert on AI and data at Singularity University and a sought-after speaker on enterprise AI, data ethics, and future-proofing organizations.

Across every role—from NASA to Nokia, from Fortune 500 boardrooms to tech labs—Tricia has advanced one principle: technology must serve humanity, not erode it.

Decentralized identifiers (DIDs) are a new type of identifier that enables verifiable, decentralized digital identity. A DID refers to any subject (e.g., a person, organization, thing, data model, abstract entity, etc.) as determined by the controller of the DID. In contrast to typical, federated identifiers, DIDs have been designed so that they may be decoupled from centralized registries, identity providers, and certificate authorities.
Markus Sabadello has been a pioneer and leader in the field of digital identity for many years and has contributed to cutting-edge technologies that have emerged in this space. He is co-editor of the Decentralized Identifiers standard at W3C, and member of the Steering Committee at the Decentralized Identity Foundation. Markus has spoken at dozens of conferences and published papers about both the politics and technologies of digital identity. He is founder of Danube Tech, a consulting and development company that works on decentralized identity infrastructure products.

We need working group participants who is willing to develop the Software

There exists a broad class of complex, previously unsolved problems—spanning fields such as medicine, climate science, engineering, and the natural sciences—for which viable solutions are not yet available in the public domain. These problems are inherently non-trivial and often fall outside the knowledge distribution on which standard large language models (LLMs) are pretrained. As such, current LLMs are ill-suited to address these challenges directly, due to both their epistemic limitations and lack of domain-specific reasoning.

To address this, we propose evaluation of a customized multi-agent system capable of collaboratively reasoning about and attempting solutions to such novel problems. The primary objective is to explore whether a system of coordinated Artificial Intelligence (AI) agents—each with distinct roles, tools, and knowledge access—can engage in goal-directed problem-solving in uncharted domains. While we anticipate that such a system may generate interesting hypotheses or partial insights, it is also likely to produce hallucinations, factual inaccuracies, and logical errors, especially when operating outside familiar data distributions.
Souva Majumder is the Director of AI Technologies at Apollonius Computational Business Solutions and the Chair of IEEE SA IC 25-003. An alumnus of IIT Kharagpur in Industrial & Systems Engineering, he leads innovation in Generative and Agentic AI. His key interest lies in the evaluation of multi-agentic systems, and he holds a software patent on Evaluation of Multi-Agentic Systems using Agent-Agent as a Judge. He specializes in multi-agent architectures, RAG pipelines, vector databases, and advanced prompt engineering. Souva has provided corporate training on Agentic AI for Business Transformation at Infosys, Morningstar India, IIM Lucknow, and other leading institutions.
